Is free to the public. Whitwell Common is about
1.5km along Nowhere Lane towards Reepham off the A1067
Norwich to Fakenham road. There is a small layby in front of
the gate at Map ref.TG084204.
Species
Numbers of birds are low but due to the varied
habitat it has attracted a good range of species including 9
species of Warbler, Bullfinch, Green and Great spotted
Woodpeckers, Treecreeper, Nuthatch, Reed Bunting and
Goldcrest. Barn Owls hunt the area.
