As a member, you will be able to participate in all the regular WVBS events such as our monthly meetings and field trips – free of charge, except for the cost of food or refreshments where provided – and receive a copy of our monthly newsletter which is forwarded to members wherever possible by email (click the button below for an example copy of the newsletter). Also members will be given a copy of the club’s Annual Report too.

The main benefit is, of course, meeting other people with an interest in birdwatching at whatever level you are happy with and having an enjoyable time with a relaxed and amiable crowd.
The membership fee is £11.50 for a single membership, £17.50 for two people at the same address. Our membership year runs from the beginning of April until the end of March the following year. Any member’s children will also automatically qualify as members, and may attend events with their parent or guardian. We also offer membership for students aged 18-25 for £5.
There is also a half year membership available for new members which runs from 1st October to 31st March. You pay half the annual fee.
For those joining after January 1st and before 31st March we offer membership until the end of March in the following year for the same price.
