Sculthorpe Moor is a nature reserve managed by national wildlife charity, The Hawk and Owl Trust. The rare fen habitat is managed for wild birds of prey and the eco-systems on which they depend. With over a mile of easy access boardwalk and hides. Expanding and includes a scrape introduced in 2021 on newly acquired land. Open from 8am every day. Species: All year: Tawny and Barn Owls, Kingfisher, Buzzard, Bullfinch, Marsh Tits, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Tree Creeper, Water and Bank Voles, Stoat and Weasel. Spring/Summer: breeding Marsh Harrier, Hobby, warblers and Cuckoo in the reedbed, dragonflies and damselflies, butterflies, moths, glow–worms. Autumn/Winter: Brambling, Lesser Redpoll, Water Rail, Siskin, Reed Bunting, Redwing and Fieldfare, together with roosting Harriers.
Access: Signposted off A148 in Sculthorpe village, onto reserve car park.
