Guist Common is an SSSI owned by the trustees and managed with the guidance of Natural England and Hawk & Owl Trust
Habitat One of the largest reedbeds, with scrub, in the Wensum Valley
Species Mainly Marsh Harrier, Hobby, Water Rail, warblers. It usually has a Swallow roost in autumn and Pied Wagtails can form a roost during autumn and winter.
Access: The Common is to the N of the the River Wensum and W of the bridge. View from the Guist to Dereham road B1110 at TF995250 or the bridge over the Wensum. Do not enter Common.
