The final field trip of the year takes place on Sunday 26th November when we will be taking a tour of Sparham Hall Farm under the guidance of the farmer Charles Sayer. Charles introduced the Countryside Stewardship Scheme to the farm some years ago and he will be outlining the work he has been doing and showing us some of the birds he attracts to his land. Meet at 9am at the NWT Sparham Pools NR car park (TG073178). This will be a morning visit. Sorry no toilet facilities or refreshments available so bring your own (refreshments that is).
On Thursday 14th December (the 2nd Thursday of the month) you are invited to join us for our annual Christmas Social evening starting at 7.30pm in Lenwade Village Hall. As in previous years there will be a number of quizzes for you to enjoy whilst whiling away the evening in convivial company. Don’t worry conferring is allowed! You are asked to bring a plate of food for our “bring and share” buffet, please write down what you will be bringing on the list at our November indoor meeting or let Margaret Shapcott know by Friday 8th December. Margaret’s contact details are at the end of this newsletter. Tea and coffee will be provided but if you want something a little stronger please bring your own bottles and glasses.
