Thursday 16th November: Does Japan offer the world’s best winter birding?

Speaker – James Lowen

Wildlife travel-writer and photographer James Lowen thinks that the answer to the above question is “yes”! He makes his case with stunning images of Steller’s Sea Eagles, Red-crowned Cranes, Blakiston’s Fish Owls and more. James is the author of five books about the wildlife of Britain, South America and Antarctica. He writes regularly for magazines such as BBC Wildlife, Bird Watching and The Countryman, and his photography is represented by the agency FLPA. A natural raconteur, James’s talks routinely fill lecture marquees at the BirdFair – including a version of this presentation about Japan at Birdfair 2016!
