Sunday 25th Sept – Breydon Water/Berney Marshes
This popular trip offers an opportunity to see large numbers of Waders, Gulls, Ducks and hopefully Birds of Prey on a pleasant 5 mile walk. This will take 4 to 5 hours depending on what and how often we stop to watch birds along the way.
For this trip we take the 09.36hrs train from Norwich Station to Berney Arms. We then walk and bird along the bank of the River Yare then Breydon Water to Great Yarmouth. After tea & cake we return by train to Norwich. I am assured by the man in Mumbai that we can get a return train ticket to Yarmouth to cover this. Cost £7.00 with possible further reductions if there are enough of us for “group” travel, which I understand means 10 or more adults.
This is a rather exposed area with no facilities so make sure that you are suitably clothed for the weather conditions on the day. Stout footware is essential. You will need to take drink & lunch with you.
There will be sign up sheets at the Summer Social & the September meeting otherwise contact the leader(Ray Gribble 01603 872709) to let him know that you are going.
