Thursday 14th May – A Ringland Circuit

co-ordinator Steve Chapman

An evening walk of just over 2 miles with great views over the Wensum Valley. Meet 6.45 pm for 7 pm start We start at the village green by the telephone box in Ringland (TG 139 139) and walk up Royal Hill and down the other side to Low Farm and across to the River Wensum if the fields are not too wet. We will then return to the start via Back Lane. After the walk there is the option of staying for Nightingales at a known site nearby.
The route is mostly flat on farm tracks and footpaths with some rough terrain but no stiles or gates, and there is a modest incline up to Royal Hill. Walking boots are recommended.
There is room for about 8 cars to park around the green, with further parking possible outside Ringland Church or at the Swan Inn (please park at the far end of the car park, furthest from the pub). When parking please ensure you do not block any roads or obstruct any driveways.
Please note the date of this event has been changed from that published in this month’s newsletter. All other details remain the same.
