Thursday 21st January – The History,Wildlife and Landscape of the North Norfolk Coast

speaker David North

David North  has worked for more than 30 years for nature conservation  charities, including in Norfolk, RSPB, National Trust and for the past 11 years Norfolk Wildlife Trust.  He has written several books about Norfolk including, ‘Elements of the North Norfolk Coast.’  His talk will feature NWT Cley Marshes but will talk  more generally about  the  conservation issues of the North  Norfolk coast and  its wildlife. From the Wash to Weybourne our coast with  its saltmarshes, sand dunes, and grazing marshes  is a wonderful wild coast important for wildlife  in both  summer and winter and much loved by people who come from far and wide to enjoy its natural beauty and wildness.  This is a coast which is always changing and always fascination so David will take a long perspective on the forces human and natural which have shaped our coast.
