Sunday 9th March – The Hoe Bird Walk Anniversary

30th Anniversary Hoe Bird Walk              co-ordinator David Knight

This is a morning walk starting promptly at 0800 hrs and finishing approx 1230 hrs. The start point is along the Hoe to Worthing Road at TF990171 ( SAT NAV 52.7156 Lat and  0.94542 Long.) There is a limit of twenty participants to make the walk comfortable and controllable so please let David know by telephone 01362 668931 or add your name to the Attendance Sheet at the next meeting if you wish to join us. Parking is reasonable but if you can please car-share. This walk has been taking place for thirty years along the same route of very mixed habitat and 132 species have been recorded to date. After a circular walk around Hoe Common the remainder is along tarmac road towards Worthing. The average species count for March over the 30 years is 47 with several counts in recent years of 53. Let’s make it a special celebration and see if we can break these records. With your eyes and ears that’s a distinct possibility. On the day only you can contact David on 07742727616

N.B In view of the early March date this is the only announcement of this walk .
