Sunday 31st January – The North Norfolk Coast

coordinator –  Phil Borley

This is an all day outing and we will meet at Holme  NWT at  the first Car Park ( TF703 442) near the pay hut for a 9.00am start. The reserve Car Park opens at 10.00am. We plan to seawatch over Gore Point and along the coastal path. Then we can drive down to park at NWT, where there are facilities including toilets and café/shop. It is planned to walk along the shore to look for the long -staying shorelark  on the beach nearer to Thornham Harbour end. We hope to drive round to Thornham Harbour for the flock of twite currently seen there and any waders in the marshy areas of the harbour. The day will continue looking for notable birds in the area such as corn bunting and rough legged buzzard in the Choseley area and other sites. Please remember to bring a packed lunch and suitable clothing/footwear for the wintry conditions. You can also add your name to the Attendance Sheet at our next indoor meeting as usual.
