Sunday 28th June – Hickling NWT Reserve and Boat Trip

coordinator Mary Walker

Following our talk by John Blackburn the warden of Hickling Broad, our June outdoor meeting will be a visit to this beautiful reserve. We have booked two boats for a maximum of 20 people. The cost for the boat trip will be £10 per person and is payable in advance to Mary. This is non refundable unless we can resell the seat.

Meet in the Car Park at Hickling (Grid Ref TG 427221) to depart at 7.30a.m. for the fifteen minute walk to the Staithe. We shall be on the open boats from 8a.m–10a.m. There are no facilities on board and we shall be open to the elements so please plan and dress accordingly.

Anyone not going on the boat trip is welcome to join the group from 10.30a.m onwards. Again, meet in the car park when, after a coffee break we shall spend the rest of the day exploring the reserve. If there is sufficient interest we can have a conducted tour of Stubbs Mill.

Please fill in the attendance sheet and pay Mary at our indoor meetings. N.B. There is no indoor meeting in June.

Places will be allocated on receipt of payment on a first come first served basis.
