Saturday 29th August – A Field Trip to RSPB Snettisham

Coordinator – Sue Gale

Snettisham is the place to see the spectacle of wader flocks rising from the Wash at high tide. There is a suitable tide on 29th August, in the early evening. We will therefore aim to be at the RSPB car park at Snettisham at 3.30pm. This leaves time for some general birding before the high tide. The reserve is clearly signposted from the A149 Snettisham and Dersingham bypass. Continue down Beach Road for about 1.5 miles and the reserve is signposted on your left. There are no facilities at the car park or on the reserve. The return walk is about 3 miles.
For those who would like a longer day’s birding, or who would prefer an earlier outing, we will meet at Titchwell car park at 12.00 noon. There are facilities here, and we can decide where is best to bird for this part of the day depending on what is about.
Please fill in the attendance sheet at our indoor meetings or contact Sue on 07881 923120
