Saturday 11th October – Wild About Norfolk

Wild about Norfolk is an annual Wildlife and Environment Fair showcasing the local groups and national organisations who protect, enhance and restore Norfolk’s wildlife and landscape. It is at Easton College again this year. Sponsored by Norfolk Biodiversity Partnership and The John Jarrold Trust in association with Easton College it has something for all the family. Open from 10 am to 4 pm it is free to enter.

Each year Wild About Norfolk attracts over 40 exhibitors and between 1,000 to 2,000 visitors. There is a program of walks and talks and offer lots of activities such as badge making, pebble painting, puppet making, pond dipping, face painting, bird box making, quizzes and bat hat making. There’s something for all the family – so whether you want to know how to tackle blanket weed in ponds, have a mushroom identified or learn about what lives at the bottom of your garden – you will find an expert at Wild About Norfolk. Best of all, the entire event is free to attend!

Make sure you get along and call into the WVBS stand. Better still, why not volunteer to help on our stand for just a couple of hours or maybe, longer. Contact Lin Pateman if you can help.
