Member’s trip to North Wales

Co-ordinator – Alan Fordham

From the rugged cliffs of Anglesey, the moorlands and mountains around Betys-y- Coed to the Great Orme, North Wales has so much to offer the bird watcher. We will be based at Bangor putting us in easy reach of a large area of North Wales.

Why not join us on our trip there as we search for Shag, Rock Pipit, Spotted Flycatcher and many more at South Stack, for Ring Ouzel, Richards Pipit, and Lapland Bunting to name just three of the many probable species that await us at the Great Orme.

In last month’s news letter it stated the date of the trip was going to be 15th – 19th May, but having taken on board some comments by members we are now considering changing this to an alternative date of the 19th – 23rd June. If you are interested in this alternative date or prefer the original date please contact me at   or speak to either myself or Mary Walker at the next indoor meeting.

If you would like to join us but are not able to be with us on all the days that is okay or if you cannot or are don’t want to drive yourself let me know as in past trips we have been able to sort out car sharing.
