May Indoor Meeting 16th May, 2013  Talk about Sutton Fen – guest speaker Richard Mason

Sutton Fen forms a continuous and extensive area of nationally rare and internationally important fen habitat, including large areas of national scarce saw sedge beds. Breeding bitterns, marsh harriers, Cetti’s warblers, reed buntings and bearded tits are found on the site. The site is exceptionally important for its rare plants and diversity of invertebrates present such as swallowtail butterflies and Norfolk hawker dragonflies. R.S.P.B. Warden,Richard Mason will tell us all about this important reserve and it’s recent two year restoration .
