A Field Trip to RSPB Titchwell

Saturday 31st October

Leader/coordinator: Alan Hughes

This trip has been planned to follow shortly after Lizzie Bruce’s Zoom presentation on the 15th
October. We will meet next to the warden’s hut next to the footpath in the reserve’s car park at
8.30am. We will walk along the West Bank path, scanning the pools, reedbeds and marshes as
we go. We may stop en route at the Island Hide, depending on numbers already occupying the
hide. Eventually, we will arrive at the beach where we can scan the beach and the sea. On
returning towards the Visitor Centre, we will detour along the Meadow, Fen and Autumn trails.
Back at the Visitor Centre (open 09.30 to 16.30), those that want to can purchase refreshments
from the café, visit the shop and use the toilet facilities (open 09.00 to 17.00) as required.
RSPB members must remember to bring their membership cards with them, as they are
likely to be asked to show those. Non members will be charged an entrance fee.

Covid safety:-
• The Rule of Six limits our group size to 5 club members only plus myself. If there are more
than that, we may form a second group with a separate leader.
• Face-coverings should be worn in the VC and the hides, unless you are exempt.
• Please make use of the hand sanitisers provided on site (I will also carry a bottle).
• Maintain appropriate social distancing at all times.
• We will not be able to share optics.
• Register your attendance on the Test and Trace App if you have it.
• Please do not attend if you have any symptoms of Covid19 or have been in contact with
anyone that has.

your booking. Please let me know if you decide not to go.
After lunch I plan to drive further east along the coast to Burnham Overy Staithe (map reference

and sand dunes. Anyone will be very welcome to join me there as well.
