Wash Cruise & Frampton Marshes 23rd Sept 2012

The WVBS had a very successful field trip on the Wash Cruise from Boston Lincs in Oct 2009. I am trying to arrange a repeat of this field trip for the Society on 23rd Sept 2012. The boat will leave Boston at 08.45 hrs. which means an early start from our area.  As last time we can visit Frampton Marsh, if we choose, after the cruise.

Further details will not be available until early Jan but I would like to give the organisers an early indication of our level of interest and the number of us who are interested. Last year they sold out very quickly and I do not want us to miss out. Payment will be required within 4 weeks of making the group booking i.e. by end Jan. Continue reading

Thursday 15th December – Christmas Social

Please make a note in your diary for this “not to be missed” event.

An evening of Christmas Fayre and Fun.

Our usual appeal  is for members to supply a plate of food (cakes/savouries/puddings etc. ) enough for about 4 people. Lin Pateman (astronanna@hotmail.com ) is co-ordinating this to ensure we don’t all bring the same. Please contact her to discuss or see her at the next indoor meeting where a list will be available for you to add your choice of food.   Also please bring your own plates, cutlery, wine/beer and glass. Cups/glasses will be provided for your complimentary cup of punch on arrival and tea/coffee later in the evening.  There will be the usual quizzes and puzzles to keep you amused. Continue reading
