Bird records Nov 2006

Each individual sighting received may not show on this summary, however, all records do contribute towards the annual report and our understanding of the birds of our study area.
The mild weather has meant few winter visitors have arrived.
There were good movements of Fieldfare at the beginning of the Nov but most had moved through (SW) by mid-month. While in much fewer numbers Redwing stayed all month. Only 3 records of 1 or 2 Brambling so far and no Siskin reported at all.
Surprisingly the highest count of Starlings was only 40 and I received no counts of House Sparrows. Both these species are in decline so all records are of value.
